Beit Achim Center
For most of the first three years of the organization, BFL did not have a home. Programs were held in living rooms, on the beach, and in rented facilities.
In the summer of 2010, thanks to the generosity of the Meidar Family, BFL opened its Beit Achim, or “House of the Brothers”.
The house itself is a project of BFL, a cooperative run by the members. At the Beit Achim, newly injured soldiers are introduced to a family of brothers they never knew they had. The Beit Achim hosts our core programs, group and individual therapy, tutoring, and all our soldier-initiated projects.
Recently we began hosting groups of young Jews from around the world, teaching them about sacrifice for the Jewish people, as well as the ethical commitment of Israeli combat soldiers.
