Women’s Project

This is a groundbreaking project that was initiated with the focus on the needs of the spouses of the injured soldiers. These women shoulder the day to day struggles of their loved ones and are the silent heroes of the Jewish people. They are the first to the hospital to attend to their spouse’s wounds and they themselves bear the physical and emotional brunt of the injury, as many of them must now take care of injured and post traumatic husbands as well as their children. Like many of the injured soldiers, these women find themselves increasingly isolated from their friends and families, and this program provides a peer-to-peer network as well as critical resources.

Currently the program is serving about 75 women through one-on-one mentoring, monthly programs, and an annual delegation to Seattle.
