Hospital Visitation Team

The head of this project is Itay Erenlib, an officer at the paratroopers brigade who was injured in 2006 during an operational activity in Nablus. As soon as news about an injured soldier are received, Itay deploys the team to the hospital. The hospital visit is of a major importance both for the injured soldier and for this family. It gives them an opportunity to talk to soldiers who went through similar experiences, are familiar with the challenges and are able to provide support and give hope.
15 BFL members from different regions of the country participated in the project before operation “Protective Edge”. Currently, we have more than 20 members on this team, and we are making an effort to match every recently injured soldier with one of our members who had a similar injury.
