One of our primary goals for 2015 is to increase our member’s giving back to groups in Israel who need our help. One of our members, Gil Revivo, who was a senior officer in the IDF, took this project upon himself. As part of this new initiative, last Wednesday our running project led by Shai Greenstein met with a group of teenagers from “Achuzat Sarah”. “Achuzat Sarah” is a boarding school for children 12-18 years old, who come from underprivileged families. Our running project and “Achuzat Sarah” children held a running practice together. The children ran with injured warriors, who had been shot or blown up and have overcome their injuries. Now they know that they too can overcome any challenge.
After the practice our soldiers and the children had a dinner together. During the dinner one of the kids very emotionally, with tears in his eyes, spoke about how important this was for him and thanked our members for this experience.
We are grateful to be able to be at a place where we can help others.
Shabbat Shalom from Israel,
