Many of you have seen the headlines about the soldiers who were killed in Lebanon. These losses weigh heavily on all of us. Our hearts are with their families, and may the memories of our selfless soldiers be a great Blessing.

At the same time, there are many soldiers now lying in hospital beds across Israel, beginning the long and difficult road of recovery.

This week alone, 14 IDF soldiers were wounded in fighting Hezbollah terrorists. Several are severely injured, including one soldier who tragically lost both of his legs.

At Brothers for Life, we are already with each of them, attending to their immediate needs and those of their families, and making sure they know they will never face this alone.

Additionally, this week, our team set up a tent outside Tel HaShomer Hospital so our currently hospitalized soldiers could step outside their rooms for a few minutes of fresh air and connection after two weeks of sirens.

One of our newer mentors, Daniel, joined us as well. Daniel lost his hand in the war, and at one point during the visit, Daniel sat down with our wounded soldiers and began playing guitar.

It was a simple moment, but it says everything about Brothers for Life. An injured soldier sits with newly injured soldiers, and, without words, shows them how life continues and that there is a community waiting for them on the other side of the hospital.

In the video below, you will see Daniel playing for the wounded soldiers. Next week, we will share a short film about his journey.
