Dear Friends,

This week our first Boston delegation returned from a simply amazing experience. I would like to thank all the wonderful host families and everyone who made this possible. Ten of our members, including four who were injured last summer, took part in this delegation. We fell in love with Jewish Boston, and our soldiers, half of whom were only 22 or 23 years old, came back to Israel different people.

During the week in Boston the delegation also met with a group of Holocaust Survivors (one of the highlights of every delegation), and I was privileged to sit next to a great Jewish hero, Mrs. Rena Finder, who was on Schindler’s List and shared with me how she survived. Meeting with our precious Survivors gives us so much perspective as we see right in front of us what we are fighting for. Next to them we feel small. They are the Heroes. It’s also touching to see how much it meant to them to speak with us.

When I got home  I received an email from Mrs. Finder telling me what a privilege it was for her to meet us.  I couldn’t believe it. I emailed her back that we felt a hundred times more privileged just to be in her presence.  It’s not an exaggeration.  It’s such an honor to be around them, God should protect them and give them a long life.

Shabbat Shalom and Am Yisrael Chai!
