Dear Friends,

As you know, a number of years ago we created a special program for the real heroes of Am Yisrael – the wives of the injured soldiers.  Our wives are the ones who support us, who stand in the shadows, who do not get a medal and do not get recognized, who are awoken at night by their husbands’ nightmares.  The program we created is to support the women who stand by our side.

Last weekend we organized a special “wives retreat” as part of our Wives Projecct.  More than 80 women came together in Tel Aviv to meet the women who joined our circle during the past year, support each other, talk about their challenges, but also relax and enjoy some down time.  One of the new women in the group sent us this letter:

“I would like to thank you for the wonderful, fun weekend. I didn’t know anyone and was not sure if I should come at all, leave the kids for an entire weekend and enter a foundation that belongs to fighters.  I was happy to find out I was wrong.  I was greeted by such special people, and everyone felt accepted.  I met wonderful women and I saw that the foundation is a big family that gives everyone such love and support.  You proved (once again) that the wives are an inseparable part of the Achim family, and that there is a place here for everyone.

I am so happy that my husband found (after many years) a family at Brothers for Life, where eyes say more than words, where the laughter is real and where a friend becomes a brother”.

This week 3 of our managers – Gili, Oshri and Amir, were together during their reserve service at a base in South Israel:

Pesach 2015:

Pesach is almost here, and many of you are probably planning to visit Israel during that time.  If you are in Israel, please let us know, as we would love to see you.  If you are interested in a unique experience seeing Israel as you have never seen before – Contact Oshri at Achim LaChaim Tours.

This week I wish you a Shabbat Shalom from Johannesburg, where I am at the moment with a delegation of 13 of our brothers.
